The role
Join Natural Resources Wales as an Intelligence Officer and play a key role in tackling waste crime across Wales.
In this dynamic, predominantly desk-based role, you will gather, assess and develop intelligence that directly supports an intelligence-led approach to enforcement. Your work will make a real difference, helping to protect the environment and strengthen action against criminal activity.
Working closely with the Crime Analyst, you will contribute to the Strategic Crime Assessment and provide valuable insight to inform operational decisions.
As part of the Central Enforcement Support Team - a once-for-Wales function - you will collaborate across the organisation and with external law enforcement partners, gaining exposure to a wide range of enforcement activity.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and ambitious team, helping to shape and professionalise NRW’s approach to intelligence and environmental crime.
Driving is essential to this role. While the role is predominantly office-based, some travel between offices will be required, as well as occasional meetings with partner agencies where public transport may not be suitable. You must hold a full and current UK driving license.
As an organisation we support flexible working. You will be contracted to an NRW office within the place base / location above and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed on appointment. Any regular face to face meetings or training will be planned in advance.
